My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there! Let me introduce myself – my name is Kermit and I’m a “good bird!” That is my favorite phrase to say – “good bird” and you can betcha I’ll remind you of it everyday! I’m an 11 year old half moon conure. At my recent checkup the vet said I am quite a healthy, feisty bird. Half-moon conures like me can easily live to be over 25, so I have many more years of love to give!
I love to follow my favorite person around, but I do sometimes to bite to test my boundaries. My foster mommy tells me that I will need a good family who will be patient enough to earn my trust and yet firm enough to keep my nipping in line.
Now let’s talk about food. Hey, don’t you like to be bribed with some yummy delicious treats? I sure do! I also eat Roudybush and Zupreem brand pellets, but what I really like are crisp crunchy fruits and Nutriberries – MMMM-MMM good! Of course, like any other bird, I do also think I am entitled to whatever you are eating. We’re part of a flock, right? And flocks share! I will go for anything you are eating whether its healthy or not so watch out!
I should also let you know that like most conures I am VERY LOUD! So loud in fact that my foster mommy swears I can out scream her cockatoo! Therefore, I AM NOT an apartment, condo or duplex friendly bird. I would do best in a single family home. Luckily I do go to sleep at exactly 8:30 every night and won’t make a peep until 8 or 9 the next morning, when start LOUDLY letting you know I’m ready to be uncovered start the day.
If you have read my story and think I would be a good fit for you, then why not fill out an application and maybe we will get to meet each other. But please remember, I do need to be with a family that has lots of patience, time and love to give to me each and every day.
In the meantime, would you like to take a look at my Amazon wishlist, and maybe send me something yummy?
