Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Pepper (aka Pepper-Mint). She is a beautiful 2 YO black tri with the blackest black and the whitest white coat with streaks of gold on all four legs. The black around her eyes make them the color of caramel. She is a busy girl with typical Aussie energy (always on the move) and would do best with an active family. Pepper was an owner surrender with three children, so she is good with kids. She is good with other dogs. Not sure about cats. Although she spent most of her first two years outside on a chain, she has adapted quickly and well to being an indoor dog. She is housebroken (with the occasional accident when her foster misses the 'potty' queues), walks well on a leash, has good recall, knows sit, wait, and is working on all the other usual commands. She loves toys (always playing inside), playing with her fursiblings, splashing in the pool, attacking the water from the water hose, playing catch (but still working on that return), and sleeping on the furniture. Pepper is SMART and, despite her current chunky monkey state, quite athletic and runs like the wind. She is working on finding her waist :-). Pepper is currently enrolled in obedience, agility, and FitPaws classes. She will crate but also barks to tell you she doesn't like it - she has the run of her foster home and has behaved so far. She does love outside and will lay about contentedly guarding her domain. Pepper needs an Aussie savvy family, an active home, and a job to help her continue to grow into a super Aussie. She can be reactive in certain situations which her foster is working on correcting - yelling at passing trucks during car rides and barking when playing with her fur siblings. Overall, Pepper is a sweet, velcro, wiggle butt that would quickly become the heart of any family with the patience to continue her training and truly make her part of the family.
