My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ludo is named after the gentle giant who got caught in the snare in Labrynth because he was caught in our snare (trap) after he was seen wandering the streets of South Austin for several months, and came out of the trap licking faces. Ludo is a big baby who is happy to just have a soft spot to sleep, air conditioning, and someone to love. He's the kind of guy who follows you around the house, but doesn't get in the way. He's an older guy at around 5 years old, so he has made it through all of his puppy energy. He'll happily go to the park and run around, but he's also content to cuddle on the couch.
Ludo has gotten along with everyone he has encountered thus far, getting along well with other dogs, kids, and just about everyone he has met. He's a lover, definitely not a fighter. If you have space in your house for this big guy, he'll return the favor with a lot of slobbery love.
Ludo is currently heartworm positive, but has started treatment. His treatment is being covered financially by donation and through Emancipet. An adopter before he finishes treatment would need to continue with his treatment plan. He will be done with the treatment in late October.
