Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JC is a shepherd mix female, born in 2001. She has had a rough beginning. It is obvious this girl was abused. She was surrendered to the shelter very frightened and timid, and she has scars on her body and head. JC has emotional scarring as well, but through her timidness and sorrow, she appears to have a heart and will. We are working with her as much as we can at the pound. She is taking baby steps. She is allowing us to pet her and actually appears to enjoy it, however, she is still quivering and she tries to find safe zones. If brought in the office, she will hide under the desk. She feels safest in her cage. She has made progress and we expect and hope for ongoing progess. She will require a very special person who has an unconditional love for animals, experience, patience and good judgement. If you are that special person and want the challenge of rescuing this special needs dog, please call Cheryl at 716-681-9965 or write luvastray@aol.com and specify you are responding to dog ad.
