Requirement: Because Billy is happier in a less chaotic environment; thus, a home with adults only is ideal. An active single or couple is recommended.
Highly intelligent, Billy learns and obeys commands -- sit, wait, place -- like a champ! He is extremely well behaved. Anywhere he goes people stop cold and compliment his spectacular appearance, from his coat to his golden eyes. An affectionate boy, who rolls on his back welcoming belly rubs. Alert, but not barky. Totally focused on his handler, Billy is loyal to his core. He usually plays with two other dogs who push him around, take his toys away from him and he lets them. It's not all about him. He tries so hard to please. However, he does become quite nervous around dogs unknown to him. Because he was an "only child" he did not learn how to give off the right dynamics from siblings while a puppy, so adult dogs misread his actions and through no fault of his own gets him in trouble. He is not hyper, but like all dogs, requires an outlet of exercise daily. He would be a marvelous running partner, hiking partner or a partner for someone who just wants a loving companion during the day.
Billy's foster mom is the owner/head trainer of Sit Means Sit Dog Training and has gifted his forever home 3 lessons and a year of group classes!
