Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Sugar Bear! Sugar Bear is about the cutest little gal you’ve ever seen! Sugar is an Aussie mix who is just over a year old and literally has a nosehawk! This crazy sweet little gal was being given away on Facebook because some people got her for their toddler. Being a young Aussie mix that obviously nobody had worked with, she of course knocked the baby down. At that point she was whipped and thrown outside, where she lived for the next three days until we went to get her. She was so terrified when we brought her back through the duplex she was belly-crawling and urinating all over herself. However, once we got her home, coaxed her out of the car, got her into the back yard and introduced her to the pack, she relaxed and came right out of her shell! Sugar did need a lot of work as she did not even know the word “no.” Her behavior was that of a year-old, high-energy, working dog that nobody had spent any time or effort on. She has come a long way with manners but needs someone who will continue to work with her on reinforcing manners and obedience. And Sugar Bear needs a job! Her behavior is full Aussie and when she is bored, she gets into trouble. When given a task or when she’s intrigued, she has a laser focus. Sugar is incredibly smart, fast, and agile. She is also treat and toy motivated, and we feel she would be an incredible dog for agility or something similar. Sugar got her name because she is so sweet (and because we think she looks like a bear cub)! She loves everybody and LOVES to play! She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses! Sugar needs a home with somebody who will pursue some type of training with her and give her a purpose. She also needs plenty of room to run and a young, playful dog sibling as she loves other dogs. Sugar Bear is housetrained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She currently weighs about 50 lbs. She is fully vetted including spay, de-worm, combo and rabies shots, heartworm check, and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fee is $150 to cover cost of vetting. Adoption application, home visit, vet and reference checks, and adoption contract are required. Filling out an application is the first step in our process. Applications are given preference and attention before emails.
