Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my foster mom suggested I introduce myself. My name is Handsome Fella but you can call me Fella.
I was found living with a colony of cats that my foster was feeding. She doesn't know how I ended up there because I am definitely not a feral cat.
When I started coming around she saw that I was in pretty bad shape, it took me a bit of time to let my guard down. Eventually, I agreed to being trapped and given medical care. The Vet told my foster that I had been hit by a car or been hung up, maybe on a fence, because my right front leg was broken badly. I had all kinds of scratch wounds all over me.
So, sadly, my leg was amputated. There was no saving it. While I was under, the vet neutered me. I can honestly say I'm much happier now.
It took about a week before I relaxed and decided I would allow my new friends to pet me. I LOVE their attention.
I'm waited on like a prince and given all the attention a guy could want. The only thing missing is having my very own family to love. There are way too many cats where I'm staying and they interfere with my cuddling time. So, if you wouldn't mind a tripod cat with a very loud purr, give Kay a call for more details at 313-891-2591 and maybe we can meet up.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. We DO NOT have an online application
2. We talk with interested parties VIA PHONE. Call between 9 am and 8 pm.
3. If this sounds like a possible match, we arrange for the cat to be met which is USUALLY at Greenwood Pets and Plants, 13983 E. 9 mi (3 blocks east of Schoenherr) Sat.between noon & 3pm
4. When a person meets a cat at Greenwood and wants to adopt him/her, a paper application is filled out, then the contract is studied,
if found agreeable, the applicant signs, makes an adoption donation, takes the cat home. (adopter provides a cat carrier)
5. DIRECTIONS are given for introducing the cat to his/her new home.
6. In about 8 to 14 days a call is made to hear about the steps that were taken to introduce the cat to his/her new home and find out how the cat has adjusted.
The adopter is asked to send pics of their adopted cat.
