My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aries - Dutch Shepherd Mix - Male - 5 Years - www.twyla.org

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org

Meet Aries: This gorgeous young male Dutch Shepherd/Akita mix has the best ears! Aries is sweet and affectionate, also active and playful - he LOVES to run! Aries gets on well with other dogs, although he can be a bit bossy with them, so a good match is important. He is house and crate trained, walk ok on leash - that could use some polishing - and rides well in the car. He is not destructive in the house and is rather quiet, but he needs a good amount of exercise to satisfy is need to run, so he is looking for an active family that will take him running or biking and stimulates his brain with training and games. He does not like to be alone and is looking for an active home where someone is home a lot AND can give him the exercise he needs. He does need a well-maintained fence as he will exploit weaknesses or doors/gates left not quite shut. Aries is an expert snuggler and after a good run outside, he loves nothing more than snuggeling on the sofa with his people.

Being a Shepherd mix, he does shed and needs regular brushing but he is well worth the effort as he is a head-turner wherever he goes!

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
