My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little terrier/maybe westie mix is approx 18 months and 15 lbs. He has a wonderful personality. He's a very happy little boy. He is just a sweet dog. He needs to feel safe and secure as he can be an escape artist and runner until he settles in. He cannot be left outside in a yard on his own, as he will find a way out. We require a fully fenced and secure yard.

He did test positive for heart worms when we rescued him and has been treated with the required series of shots and we usually find that the dogs test clear in 4-6 months. He has also been started on heart guard monthly as a preventative.


OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with no children under the age of 12, and experienced adopters only


The total adoption donation of between $525 and $650 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care.
