Jiminy Crickett. 'Titan'
~ 1987 seal bay pony. 14 hands.
Titan is finished English, has done lessons, shows, jumped, and trail rides. He is very sweet, loves attention, and is a wonderful teacher. He would be a perfect 'first horse' for a beginner with appropriate supervision in an arena setting. He is still a guy who likes to 'go', so on trails, the riders should have a bit more experience and a good seat. Titan is very responsive to his rider, and he's also a very careful pony. He can no longer jump due to some arthritis in his right shoulder, so his work load should consist of light riding, light trail riding, and no jumping or gaming. He is currently turned out on grass about 3-4 hours a day, so his new home will need to follow the same routine. He is sound, and has not foundered, but ponies are especially susceptible to founder, and therefore, this is a precautionary measure.
RESPONDS TO: Voice, hands, legs, weight.
RIDER EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Beginner with supervision, amateur/novice trails.
POTENTIAL DISCIPLINES: Trails, pleasure, ring work, light lessons.
Titan's placement fee is $900.
