My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Mayzie May. I am just over a year old and I am looking for the right person to take care of me in my forever home.
I am a super adorable Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix and even though I'm a big girl, I love to snuggle in bed & watch movies.
Because of my past, I am very shy and though I warm up quicker to women, I'm learning to trust men too. I am frightened by crowds of people and loud & unknown noises so I need my person to be aware and patient with me.
I LOVE to play with my foster brother & foster sister and I will need to have lots of room to run-I really love to run fast, it's so much fun!!
My foster family of 2 adults & 2 teenagers are teaching me lots of new things. They take me on 4 wheeler rides, evening walks, slowly introduce me to new people, and take me out on the river-I really really like to be in the water!!
I play well with cats, even though I do like to chase them, and really enjoy running with other dogs (but sometimes they get upset with me because I like to take their toys).
Could you be a right fit for me?
I’m being fostered in Iowa, spayed, up-to-date on all my vaccinations, microchipped and on monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventatives. I’m also crate trained and house trained.
