Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Beau is just over two years old. I've had him and his brother Cody, since they were 8 weeks old. I treat Beau as a member of the family. He sleeps in the house, usually on my bed. I often wake up in the morning to find his face next to mine on the pillow. During the day, if he's in the house, he's usually sitting on the couch or on my lap. He thinks he's a lap dog (at 70 lbs). He occasionally gets jealous if I show any attention to his brother Cody. He manages to get between us.
He loves the pool and usually spends a few hours a day in the pool and splashing in the jacuzzi. He's very good with other people and has a cute whine when he wants my attention.
In 2017, he spent a month at doggie boot-camp learning some of the basic commands such as sit, down, stay and heal. He is leash trained, but I generally don't use the leash unless we're going somewhere.
