Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Do you ever wonder what is wrong with humanity? There's a lot of good in the world, don't get us wrong, but sometimes things happen and it just leaves us wondering how some people can sleep at night. We just can't figure out how someone could move away and simply leave their dog behind with no food, no water, no one to know they needed help, no hope. That's what happened to dear little Macie. Fortunately, she got lucky and a kind neighbor realized what had happened and rescued her. They wanted to keep her but could not so we promised we'd find her a home with a family that would cherish her forever and never leave her behind. She's a young girl (we are guessing a year or thereabouts) probably some shepherd mix and is great with kids and other dogs. We don't know about cats--she may be fine with them too--we just don't have any to introduce to her. She's under 40 pounds too, so a great size for a family dog--won't take up too much room on the couch. As sweet as can be and eager to learn, Macie would love to take an obedience or agility class (we know, because she told us.) If you are the kind of person that thinks no dog should ever be left behind, contact us: https://gatewayareahumane.com/adopt/adoption-application/
