Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hey there, I’m Remmy!
I’m a beautiful Red tri boy with the most gorgeous auburn red coat and golden brown eyes. I’m about 2-3 years old and 55 lbs. I’m so happy to be in my foster home, because before this I was wandering around in Arkansas. I was trying very hard to take care of myself outside all alone, but I was so scared. Then these nice people got me safe and are teaching me all about how to be a dog! Woof, woof!
I LOVE to ride in cars. You can find me sitting behind my foster mom when we go on jaunts. And I’m a social butterfly. I love people! And people love me… I mean what’s not to love? I have two foster siblings that I play with (Finn tries to pretend that he’s faster than me but that won’t fly!) There are two kitties, but I don’t pay much attention to them. I know the sit and down commands, and am still working on more. I’m house trained and do well being left out in the house when foster mom is gone. But she’s teaching me about the crate, and I’m starting to like to go in and lie down for a rest.
Even though I’m beautiful, smart, love people and other dogs, there are some things I’m working through. Foster mom has learned that I’m scared of some things. My biggest fear is storms. I must admit that I hate thunder! I really get anxious sometimes when the storms hit, so my foster mom put me on some medicine to help me stay calm. It works! Sometimes I’m scared of new situations and loud noises, but foster mom takes me lots of places so I get used to different things. She says I’m so much more confident now.
I’m ready for my forever home now. I need a family willing to continue my training and help me to continue to gain the confidence I need. I need a 6 foot fence to keep me safe, and it would be great if I could find a home where I’m not alone very long. I’m really a sweet boy, who will make a wonderful pet for someone with a little patience and a lot of love.
I’m being fostered in Columbia, MO. I’m neutered, up to date on my shots, microchipped and on monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventatives.
