Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Batman - one of the best dogs in the world! He is a medium sized, beautiful Double Merle Aussie - with gorgeous, bright blue eyes and a long beautiful tail. He is partially blind and fully deaf. He is about 1.5 to 2 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. He knows a little sign language but is extremely smart and can learn quickly with consistency and positive guidance. He's very social and loves other dogs. He would do well with children as well. We are not sure about cats - but our guess is that he would do well with them once with an appropriate, slow introduction is made. He is extremely gentle natured and can be a little shy at first in new situations - but he warms up once trust is established. Batman loves to be pet and given lots of attention'| he would be a great companion for anyone looking for a dog to be a true part of his or her family. He does not mind being crated but not for long periods of time (ideally for feeding time and bedtime). Due to his light skin, he should never be left in the sun for long lengths of time, as he could sun burn easily. For his adopter, we strongly recommend educating yourself about having a deaf dog - the Internet is a good resource for advice or speaking with his current foster as she has a deaf Aussie as well. He eats high quality, grain free dog food - he should remain on this healthy diet to keep his beautiful shiny coat and intestinal balance. We would like for his adopter to be local in the Dallas metroplex.
