We chose Bella Boa for the March 2019 dog of the month simply because she is one of the friendliest dogs you'll ever meet!! Upon greeting someone new, Bella weaves and swirls around your legs, almost like a cat, gleaming from ear to ear because she's so happy to make a new friend! BellaB's vocabulary is IMPRESSIVE!! Check out her list of growing commands.. sit, walk with me, come, drop it, heel, down, give paw, jump(over a jump), target, go to your crate, stay, weave thru your legs, off(furniture) , circle around you, leave it, go to your bed, touch, scratch the board (to file nails!), treadmill and look!
Bella is incredibly SMART, loyal, AFFECTIONATE and attentive. She has the playfulness of a puppy and a chill button of a mature doggie. She really is a one of a kind HAPPY girl!!

BellaB is a FABULOUS mix of German shepherd and Rhodesian ridgeback.. super friendly and eager to please, she is an absolute blast to work with! Bella is a big girl weighing in at about 95 lbs.. luckily she naturally never jumps up on you and instead when greeting she loves to sweep in and lean her side into your legs while she looks up lovingly into your eyes.. She has such a soulful, engaging gaze.
When she first came to us she wasn't exactly leash trained.. she pulled a whole lot and used all of her 95 lbs to pull to where ever it was that she wanted to pull to. After getting some much needed leash training and obedience skills (that she EXCELLED in by the way!!) BellaB is an absolute pleasure to walk. She listens to a number of commands on and off leash.. sit, down, stay, heel, with me, look, leave it, easy, come, paw, walk through the legs trick.. She is SO SMART!!
BellaB has an extremely calm side to her which surprised us given her excitability outside. When hanging in her kennel she can always been seen sleeping all splayed out on her side.. even during thunder storms or barking commotions she'll be snoozing right through it all! BellaB is a dream for any active household.. she will make a wonderful, loyal and devoted companion!!
