My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jin" is a handsome boy, aged about 7 years old.

His backstory is that he was rescued by his former owner as a stray when he was very young, and he came into our rescue very recently when his owner, very reluctantly, had to give him up due to a house move.

He's an aloof boy at first meeting, and does take some time to warm up.
He's not a fan of being restrained, so he needs a patient owner who is prepared to give him space to unwind and not force him into any situations which make him uncomfortable.

"Jin" can get along well with bigger female dogs, but at this stage, we'd advise no other male dogs.
As with any dog, regardless of breed, we'd strongly recommend slow, controlled introductions.
We'd also advise caution around smaller animals, including cats.
The same caution would apply to small children, but older, dog-savvy children should be OK.

He loves to go for hikes, and very much enjoys the outdoor life. He's a lovely boy once he opens up, but just needs to be given the chance to do so!
