My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Larry.  He has a heartbreaking past.  His owners moved out and left him behind.  With nowhere to go - he found a safe place across the street in the parking lot of a landscaping company. People would come by to feed him but he would just lay there - sad and depressed - totally hopeless.  Then someone decided to do something about his heartbreaking situation and shared on Instagram.  We saw his photo and how he was living and knew we wanted to help. 
He was out of the parking lot that night and spent the evening in a foster home and got a much needed batch and a good meal. 
Before we started the search for his new home we wanted to make sure he was healthy so we did a senior blood panel, X-rays and and ultrasound and got him a dental.  It turns out Larry has Cushings disease which is managed through medications. 
After everything Larry has been through he really deserves a loving home to call his own.  He would be fine with an older, mellow dog that does not get in his business too much (we think he is a bit fearful of larger, dominant dogs).  He has some trouble with stairs so a single story home with a yard would be ideal for him.
