Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet sweet Jack (aka Yako), this boy is approximately 15 months old.
Jack was found on the streets and was going to be run over by a car. He had no ID tag or chip.
We believe Jack was abused by his owners, he is afraid of brooms and cowards and runs away when you try to pick him up; but he has NEVER bitten anyone when he feels threaten. The first time he was picked up by her foster he was very afraid, shaking and looking down. Poor Jack deserves to ALWAYS be treated with respect and love; he needs an experienced dog owner that will have the patience to gain his confidence. Please no kids younger than 12 yrs old; being around toddlers or youngsters that would make abrupt movements where he would feel like someone can potentially hit him would not be a good environment for Jack.
Jack feels MUCH better when he is around other dogs that are confident and playful, therefore going to a home with other dogs is a MUST. He will benefit from being around other doggies. Having other K9 friends will help him to transition to a new home and get used to his new owners.
He is a good boy, housetrained, lives indoors and has access to a yard. Lives with 5 dogs and a cat. He sleeps in a crate only at night but during the day he enjoys the house and yard.
Jack is a very sweet dog, does not have an alpha personality.
PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS ADOPTERS and people with dog experience. Jack needs an owner that understands and has the patience that is needed to own a dog that has been abused. Jack deserves the best and we are 100% committed to him. An application is mandatory, please submit it at www.drwb.org.
