My story

Hi, I’m Munch, I'm about 7 years old. Sadly, I was surrendered due to no fault of my own. I was very scared when I first arrived to the Rescue Center, but now that I’m at Famous Fido, I’m slowly learning to trust again and I've actually become a staff favorite. In actuality, I love attention! I enjoy sitting on the staff members laps while they work and I enjoy pets and just any attention. Or, I can sit contently by your side. I just enjoy the company of my human friends. I do quite well with other small dogs and cats as well. I'd prefer a home without children. I really, really enjoy snacks so if you don't watch yours close enough, I might steal them but hey, snacks make a great way to train and I am highly motivated by food!!

Famous Fido was founded by Gloria Lissner who has been independently rescuing dogs from the death rows of kill shelters since 1975. She officially opened Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance in July 2010. All our dogs recieve the necessary vet care and treatment is never refused. Famous Fido has developed a full merchandise line, starting with our all natural dog treats to support our rescue efforts. Our products are available for purchase on our website. The mission of FFRAA is to form an alliance with similar organizations to increase community awareness, public consciences and create a No Kill Nation.
