! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!***
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet.
Betty Lynn 2 years Snorkie mix possibly, 6.2lbs.
My oh my what an extremely sad tail Betty Lynn has & is beyond sadness & belief that she could of lost her life so unnecessarily.
We received a call letting us know that Betty Lynn had, had a scuffle with their other dog who she had been living with for over a year & they were going to put her to sleep & no longer wanted her. The other dog was not injured at all but we immediately jumped into action & got Betty Lynn into the rescue to save her life as they absolutely were going to euthanize her for this one incident. Extremely sad.
Betty Lynn is shy at first & a little uncertain until she knows you but then once she does she is lovely. We currently have her in a daycare with many different breeds of dogs & we have not encountered any problems & she also spent time in a foster home with other dogs & fitted in lovely there with no issues.
She is a very sweet girl who has a terrible story & just wants to be loved. Betty Lynn does well with other dogs & people & does well on a leash. We know Betty Lynn is not good with cats and it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children. She has been around respectful teenagers & she did good with them. Betty Lynn would do well being an only dog or having other dog friends in the home & someone who is home during the day.
Iris is perhaps a Snorkie mix, she is 6.2 lbs & is spayed, she is chipped, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & looking for her forever home to be cherished in as she deserves.
As with all of our rescues & Betty Lynn’s friends she will need work on her potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Betty Lynn & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Betty Lynn that meet all the requirements for this little sweet lady.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.
Betty Lynn has an adoption fee of $550 & is ready for her forever home.
**IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ**
An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.
As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves.
Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.
