Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everybody! My name is Robbie and I am a handsome 8 year old beagle from South Korea!
Believe it or not, I was rescued from an animal testing facility! I was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, now known as Rescue + Freedom Project in 2015. I am looking for a special home where someone can love me and give me the care and attention I need.
I am very comfortable being in my "own space". I am scared of chaotic places with a lot of people. I would rather stay at home with my family and have quiet time. I am usually pretty good with other dogs. I need a friend who can be gentle and calm with me. I also really like to play about with my toys some of the day, but you will find that I crash out and like to sleep in a comfy bed of my own.
I love playing outside in the sunshine too. Being outside brings me happiness since this is something I never experienced for the first five years of my life. I am a cuddly beagle and very sweet, but sometimes I'm a little bratty and could use some basic training! I am clever and know the doggy door! I am also housebroken! Unfortunately, I just can't stop myself from eating blankets. I kind of like to eat fabrics, like rugs, clothes, and blankies! I'm naughty when I ingest these things and I've had to have a couple surgeries because of it, oops! If you adopt me, please be sure that you hide blankets from me and supervise me as I get into trouble.
I'm getting a little older now, so my energy level isn't as quite as high as it used to be. I am medium energy, but when I play I become very excitable! I like my walks, but I do not need a lot of exercise. I have a routine everyday and like to stick to a schedule. I am completely fine when my people leave the house. I don't need to be with someone all the time, and I even like my kennel because I feel safe and comfortable. I will sleep and rest in it, as long as you make it cozy! I LOVE sleeping in!
My dream home would be one with another dog 5-8 years old in age, and probably just a mommy and daddy I can give all my love to. I can live in a house with a yard or an apartment. If I go to a home with a backyard, it must be fully enclosed. I am a runner and could escape! I'd love someone to adopt me who will be proud to talk about my story. I am a laboratory survivor and there are so many more like me, who are still in testing and need your voice to help free them!
