Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little boy is approx 4 months old and 6.8 lbs as of August 2018. He he is a yorkie/terrier pup whose owner had to give him up due to ill health. He is a sweet pup, very active and very timid to start with but warms up very quickly and loves to run and play with his rescue buddies. He loves to sit on your lap. Jerry would do great in a home with another young dog, or even as an only dog in an active family where he go be a dog on the go. After a busy day of play Jerry loves to cuddle in your lap and take a nap. Jerry would be great as walking/running companion and I could see him loving a good hike. Jerry does not like a crate. I’m sure this stems from being kept in one for so long when he was just a baby. He sleeps in bed with his fosters at night and has run of the house during the day. His fosters have a doggie door and he knows how to use it. He loves treats and will do almost anything for one! He is learning his house training quite well and will run out with the other dogs to the yard. He wants to be your best friend and will follow you everywhere and likes to be at your feet. He will need some leash/harness training.
. It is our rescue policy that we require that he have a buddy to play with and a home with no children under the age of 12 years.
The total adoption donation of $650 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care.
