Meet Bravo! A total “Romeo”, he is sure to connect with even the hardest to please! He is very playful although a bit more cautious than his siblings. He likes to watch the situation before he gets involved and then bounds right in. Despite his curious looks at noises and disruptions he throws caution to the wind if he can kiss anyone – including a grumpy 16-year old “foster sister” Pomeranian that somehow tolerates him and no one else! He loves wrestling with his brother and best bud Charlie! Bravo responds well to positive reinforcement but is very well tempered like his brothers and sister. This pup will make any loving family a devoted pet. He just wants to play and when he is tuckered out, he loves to sleep in someone’s arms. Breed research is a MUST, This breed is known for their herding tendencies. Will be a great family dog, but will take a strong and patient leader. Please research prior to submitting an application or inquiry. They will be very active, and prior experience is a plus, and a fenced in yard is recommended. Since Bravo is still a puppy, he will need someone home with him most of the day to continue his training. If you are gone for more than a couple hours at a time. Please consider adopting an adult.
A JOURNEY HOME DOES NOT DO OUT-OF-STATE ADOPTIONS ON PUPPIE 6 MONTHS AND YOUNGER.
Thank you for your interest in adopting!
A Journey Home is a 501c3, all foster/volunteer based rescue. Our rescues are living with families in their homes. We do not have a shelter.
If you are interested in adopting, email ajourneyhomedogrescue@gmail.com to request an application or visit our website www.ajourneyhomedogrescue.org to fill out an application. After your application has been received and given a preliminary approval, you will be contacted by an adoption coordinator who will conduct a phone interview. Final approval will be granted following a successful meet and greet with the entire family. Adopter must be at least 21 yrs old.
A Journey Home does not do out-of-state adoptions on unaltered puppies. Spay/neuter surgery is not done on puppies under 6 months of age. If adopting a puppy under the age of 6 months, we require that the adopter schedules the spay/neuter at our participating vet clinic when age appropriate.
Our standard adoption fee is $300, payable by cash or check. The fee includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, a free vet visit at one of our participating clinics, and micro-chipping.
First time pet owners will be required to sign up for a puppy/training class at a place of their choice. There will be an additional $100 added to your adoption fee, which will be refunded to you upon proof the class was completed.
Please note that breed and size are our best guesses, while ages are estimated by our vets and are not guaranteed.

PLEASE consider becoming a foster home, and find out how rewarding it can be! A Journey Home provides basic needs, including medical expenses at our participating clinics located in Wheaton and Naperville. You supply the love! High kill shelters are overcrowded with dogs and puppies that need our help. More fosters on our team means we can save more lives! For more information or for a foster application please email ajourneyhomedogrescue@gmail.com or visit our website www.ajourneyhomedogrescue.org .
