Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Linus has so much love to give and would love to find a safe space to call his forever home. He bonded quickly with his foster mom and always wants to be in her presence. He also loves kids and does great with the 8 and 10-year-old kids in the house. His fear does come out with other adults, mostly with men, and it takes him a while to warm up but patience and treats are helping him realize faster that he doesn't need to protect his foster mom.
He's a playful small 10 lb wiggly goofball, and although he's 1-2 years old, he is very much a puppy in so many ways. He loves to wrestle with his much bigger 30 lb foster brother, and also seeks comfort and warmth from snuggling up with him, especially when foster mom is gone. He is learning tug of war with his foster brother and loves to shake a toy to death. When he gets to be with his human again, we wiggles and jumps and wants to give kisses and hugs. He zooms and bounces around the house, and then finds a sunny spot to curl up for a nap. He walks pretty well on a leash but wants anyone walking by to know he is a tough guy. He is smart, and currently learning some basic commands and has almost mastered sit and down. He would greatly benefit from some puppy obedience/socialization classes to help with his confidence and leash walking skills. He is also working on potty training, he now understands "let's go potty" and will go outside, but is still learning how to let you know he needs to go. He is great with a dog savvy cat but is most interested in his human or dog friends. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate with lots of blankets to bury himself in.
Linus is a super social guy and would do best with someone who is home a lot during a workday if he doesn't have a doggie companion but would do well left for a long day if he has a canine buddy to hang with. He has some car sickness so he takes Dramamine when he goes for a ride.
Linus’ adoption fee is $275.00. He is being fostered in Oakland, CA.
Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received.
