Meet Darla! She is a 3 year old Doberman Pinscher. Darla was an owner surrender. Darla was pregnant and in labor with a stuck puppy for 40 hours. At that point the owner finally agreed to surrender Darla in order to save her life. She had to have an emergency c-section and unfortunately none of her puppies survived. Darla has now fully recovered emotionally and physically. She is the sweetest girl, loves to cuddle on the couch, but is also up for running around outside! Darla stays with her person and comes to her name when called. She is great on and off leash, knows a few commands, is crate trained, and house trained. She does well with other dogs, cats, chickens, and respectful children. She can be in a home kids, but does not like to be surprised or jumped on when she is asleep (neither do we). Darla's adoption fee reflects a portion of the extensive vet bills accumulated for her care.
Home owners only, due to possible breed restrictions! Please no rentals, apartments, condos, or mobile home parks. A home check is required. Yolo County adopters preferred, but will consider other locations. If you are more than 100 miles away from Yolo County please be aware that there may be a small additional expense associated with travel cost.
If you are interested in adopting Darla, email us and we will send you an adoption application. (include your location in the email) The adoption fee for Darla is $750.
Vetting includes: Neuter/spay, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea preventative, heart worm preventative (including the remainder of their 6-month supply), and any other necessary vet care.
