Richard is a dachshund and minpin mix. We adopted him two years ago from Unleashed in Overland Park, KS. He's a great cuddle dog. He will sit in your lap all day and snuggle. He's house trained and kennel trained. He plays well with our other dog too.

Unleashed rescued him from a hoarder and I think that's where he gets his sometimes aggressiveness. He's perfectly fine with our family but we have to warm him up to guests coming into the house. The reason we need to rehome Richard is that he gets aggressive when our kids have friends over. It's almost like he's trying to take control and calm the kids down...

I think Richard would be best suited for someone single or couple without kids who don't have a lot of visitors. I hate to see him go, but we need to consider the safety of our kids' friends.
