Meet JOLIET!!

Joliet, born March 18, 2018, is a currently 4 pound female mix breed puppy. She looks like her mom, who we think may be a dachshund/min pin mix. Dad is unknown.

Joliet's mom came into the shelter pregnant, and delivered in her foster home. She had 8 healthy babies, 6 boys and 2 girls.

Joliet is one of the shyest of the litter. She is cute as a button and seems to let her siblings set the pace. She has beautiful markings, and check out those ears! She and her littermates love toys, and playing together. She would do best with a playmate of similar size. She is not yet house broken so will need some work.

Joliet has had 3 rounds of puppy shots, is current on flea and heartworm preventive, and is micro-chipped. She comes with a health certificate to travel.

Joliet's preferred home has a secure fenced in yard she can play in supervised (no electric or wireless please), someone who is home, or works from home with the time, energy, and patience a puppy needs and requires for adjustment and training, and because of sharp puppy teeth and nails, no children under 8 please.

Joliet is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area once adopted. All adopters must meet requirements.

Joliet is available through the City of Lytle TX Animal Care and Control. The adoption fee is $185, and ground transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Ground transport runs every 2 weeks and fills up fast.
