My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peppa Pig came to the shelter at just 3 weeks of age, along with her four identical litter mates, poor little orphans who needed lots of love and kitten formula and baby food. They were all extremely affectionate — and hungry! — from the moment they arrived at the shelter, and once they loaded up on food and formula, they resembled a litter of little black potbellied pigs. By the time they were old enough for adoption her four litter mates all had homes to go to, leaving only little Peppa waiting for her forever family to claim her. She is a tiny dynamo, very petite, and very outgoing, happy and playful, without a care in the world, other than when she will get her next serving of food or next dose of hugs and kisses. She is full of play and energy and pep, befitting her name. She is in foster care where she can get plenty of attention, especially from her older foster-brother cat, with whom she is happy to share her kibble and toys. She should be fine with dogs that are accustomed to living with cats or kittens, as long as they are supervised in the early going in her new home.

Serious inquiries only, please — her care and adoption are being managed on behalf of the shelter by the foster home volunteers, who welcome visitors with approved applications. For an application or more information, email ClayvilleCritters@cox.net. You may also call the shelter at 401-647-7200 to have your contact information passed along to the foster home. You can also find a downloadable application by scrolling down the Town of Scituate’s Animal Control page — please copy and paste the following link into your browser: http://www.scituateri.org/departments/animal_control/

Peppa has not yet seen a vet or been tested. There is no adoption fee, but a state-mandated $75 neuter deposit is required to adopt any kitten, and is fully refundable upon proof of neutering (cash or check payable to Town of Scituate only, please).
