My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Skyler and I am an adorable, cheerful, chirping, happy guy who loves to climb around my cage, play with all my bells, mirrors and chew toys and generally just have fun! My foster family calls me "googlie eyes" lol.

I came to my foster home a bit quiet and afraid of hands, but within a week I was feeling pretty much at home. I still don't like hands, though, even though my foster mommy has been working on teaching me that they aren't scary. I'm not sure I believe her, but perhaps I might eventually come around. In the meantime, I should be adopted by an experienced small bird owner who understands that I need my space. But I do love to be where the action is especially near people. I love music and looking out the window at what's going on because that is when I come alive :)

I am still trying to like those healthy things to eat like greens, pellets, and fruits but I am not quite there yet. I will need some help and encouragement from you. Please keep offering me these types of foods and telling me how yummy they are.

I would love for you to come visit me and see if I am the the bird for you. I promise to make your home a happy place to come to with all of my sweet chirps and crazy cage antics.

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
