Hello! I’m Shia. I’m pleased to make your acquaintance.

I don’t really like talking about myself. I’m kind of shy, though the kind of shy that defers to others. Really. I’d much rather hear about you. But, that’s what the poodle people have asked me to do, so…

My temperament is somewhat dependent on whom I’m with. If I don’t know you or your doggies, I might feel shy and isolate myself because I feel anxious. If I flinch it’s not that I’m unfriendly, I just don’t know you well enough to trust you won’t hurt me. After all, I’m quite small and not everyone thinks I’m a real dog with a personality and feelings and all the rest. 

But if we know each other or I feel comfortable with you, well, I am just like a puppy! I am funny, cute, playful and have a wonderful personality. 

I know basic commands and aim to please. My person took me to the groomers regularly so I am accustomed to different people handling me and am known for my friendliness. 

Now, this is the weird part. Despite the shyness, I am interested in getting to know new people, children and dogs, though I like some dogs better than others. 

That's quite enough about me. I want to hear about you and am looking forward to that conversation!
