Mary Jane is a lot of fun because she LOVES to play with tennis/racquet balls. She will chase the ball and when she's ready for you to throw it again she will nudge it back to you with her nose. However, Mary Jane takes some time to warm up to new people and will not allow you to handle her until she trusts you which she will signal by rolling over on her back and showing her belly. Once she trusts someone she is very playful and affectionate. Mary Jane can do well with certain dogs but is also highly dog selective and can attack another dog if not introduced properly. She can be a bite risk as she will bite if anyone she doesn't trust attempts to handle her. For these reasons she would do best as an only dog, she should not be adopted into a home with small children and should have an experienced dog owner/handler that can train her and will take precautions when introducing to new people and dogs.
