Duke is an amazing dog! He was surrendered to the rescue because his owners were going through a divorce and moving away and his previous owner didn't feel it was right for big Duke to move into an apartment with her. His previous owner put him through many dog obedience training classes and took great care of him. He is a big boy but is such a love bug! We are currently looking for a foster home for Duke, but a fur-ever home would be even better. Duke does seem to have some separation anxiety and would do best in a home where someone can be with him for most of the day. Duke is about 3 years old and weighs almost 100 pounds. He is a purebred German Rottweiler.

Applicants must have prior Rottweiler (or similar breed) experience. An approved adoption application is required. The $150 adoption fee (payable by cash only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; and heartworm testing. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
