My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Xena, formerly known as Arang, was adopted from the East Valley LA Shelter in Van Nuys, CA. I was told she was a backyard dog and lived with a smaller female dog before, but she did not get along with my slightly larger male GSD mix.

Xena is super sweet and affectionate but a little shy and will take some time to warm up to you. Once she is comfortable, she will place her head on your lap and gently nudge you for pets. She loves being touched and gets very excited for walks. She walks easily by your side, although she will be very curious in her new home and sniff everything. She also LOVES car rides! If you want a dog that sticks their head out the window smiling, this is your girl!

Of course, given her background, Xena will need some socialization. She will do best as an only dog as she really needs time and patience to blossom into the loving girl she is. Possibly housebroken, treat motivated, and responds to training. She needs someone with dog experience or a well-read newbie.
