My story

Harley is a very sweet border collie mix. We got him from the Alexandria Animal Shelter in March of 2017. He was a stray at the shelter and was about 12 weeks old when we adopted him, making him about 1.5 years old. He is very smart, and has been through basic training, knowing commands such as sit, down, come, and even "play dead". He is capable of learning so much more! He is active and very intelligent, and requires a home that would give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He does get bored and has some separation anxiety. He likes to chew when bored or left alone for periods of time. Because we have a new infant in the home, we are unable to meet his needs like we used to. He is very good with kids, adults, and other dogs. He has been socialized with other dogs routinely at the dog park. He is loving, playful, and not the least bit aggressive.
Harley is up-to-date on shots and heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
