Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Cooper! He is a neutered three year old, 40 pound tri-color male Australian Shepherd located in Arizona. He is House trained, Great with other dogs, Cats are unknown. Cooper would do best in a household with other friendly dogs, and no small Children. Sudden movements or loud noises will startle him and cause him to 'retreat' or run & hide. Older, more mature children would be best. Cooper was rescued from the shelter and labeled as semi-feral (little to no human interaction or socialization). Because of this, Cooper has trust issues with humans. He is not aggressive, he just may hide or shy away from you. While in Foster care, Cooper has evolved into a very sweet, loving boy, who loves to run and play with his fur-brothers. The human trust issue will require some additional work and he will definitely need time and lots of patience to adjust to a new family and surroundings. Once Cooper warms up to you, he will then come close and lay next to you. He is docile, & loves to give kisses. A crate is a MUST. It's the place where he feels safe and eats. Cooper will run to his crate when he gets too overwhelmed or scared. Cooper does best in a structured, routine environment. He learns and progresses quicker when he is able to work through his issues at his own pace. He does know 'sit' and 'lay down'. Cooper likes his walks (but should feel comfortable with you first, as he can chew through a leash and wiggle out of your arms or a collar/harness if he gets spooked or scared). Cooper will NOT be a good off-leash dog as he might run away & hide. He also loves to be scratched, petted & loved on as he is really a very warm and affectionate pup. He is a very special boy awaiting his very special furever someone! If you think Cooper is a good fit for your family please fill out an application at
