Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mr. Squeaky is a handsome young cat who because of his marking and size (18 lbs.) we think may be part Abyssinian and Maine Coon. He actually has a ruff which was shaved off for flea control and will grow back in.
Mr. Squeaky was a kitten when he was taken in 2 years ago. When he grew up and didn't get along with the family dog, his owners put him out the door un-neutered, un-vaccinated and unloved. He was saved from his lonely outside life by a kind person who is trying to find him a real home.
Mr. Squeaky is so happy to be inside with someone paying attention to him that he purrs all the time. He has a loving personality and would sit on your lap all the time if he could. He likes to sleep through the night on the bed. A smart, talkative cat, he knows how to train his guardian - as he loves to eat, he will meow for you to follow him into the kitchen, then sit in front of the food cupboard until you get the message.
Mr. Squeaky is litter box trained, loves to play with his toy mice and will occasionally jump on the couch or kitchen counter.
This is the situation he is hoping for: a house that has more space than an apartment, one or two adult guardians (no kids, please, and no cat or dog roommates either), and lots of your time, love and attention. He will repay you with supercat love and companionship.
Mr. Squeaky is neutered now, flea free and fully vaccinated. While at the vet, he tested positive for FIV. FIV+ cats can and DO live long and healthy lives
Note! This is a courtesy posting for someone trying to re-home a pet. If you are interested in learning more about Mr. Squeaky, please contact Christine at (510) 387-7350 or CFLESURAS@gmail.com.
