Bowie has an adoption pending.

Bowie is a Rescue In Need.

Bowie is a playful, affectionate merle puppy, approximately 1 year old, who has had an incredibly rough start in life. Update 2/09/19 - Bowie is doing GREAT! He just had his recheck and no longer has to be on a sling when walking! He still can only exercise while leashed, to ensure that he doesn't hurt himself, and the surgeon recommends that for the next four weeks. But his muscle tone is building up so much faster than expected - mostly because his foster mom has been so completely diligent about his rehab. It started with multiple 10-minute walks a day on the leash and sling. Now, it's five or six 15-minute walks a day, along with working on stairs, with a goal of four 30-minute walks per day as his stamina increases. He's spent the majority of his short life with one leg not working, so he had to be taught to use that leg properly (he still wants to let the other three do all the work). Going up and down stairs helps with that, as well as helping to build that all-important muscle. He is also able to sit for the first time, and has mastered that command beautifully. We're looking forward to being able to watch him play in the yard like the happy puppy he is.
