Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lady is now officially looking for her forever home! Lady's family will need to be extra special (just like she is). Lady has had a rough go of it, but is ready for a new lease on life. Things you should know about Lady ' Kid, dog, and cat (she is super curious about the cats, but is smart and backs off when warned) friendly ' Lady has lots of energy, but enjoys lounging on the sofa, especially if you are sitting with her. ' Pretty vocal and will announce visitors for you. She gets sad when any of her family or visitors leave and she will cry, but not for long and is not destructive.
Lady does have some anxiety and is afraid of the rain and will need you to walk her on a leash to go potty when it is wet out. ' Lady is also weary of men. She loves children and young women. ' She loves to go on walks ' She loves squeaky fluffy dog toys and balls. We haven't mastered the fetch. She does not want you to take her toys now that she's figured out how to play. Lady still cowers sometimes if you move to fast, but we have worked on being loved on and petted and is so much better. It makes me so sad when she cowers. I tell her that no one will ever hit her again. Lady has a couple autoimmune diseases and will need to be on medication for the rest of her life. She is currently on 100 mg of Atopica and 250mg of Mycophenolate (generic Cellcept) two times a day. When she first came into foster care she was very sick and because she had been on Prednisone for so long had developed immunity to it as well as a blood disorder. She spent some time in the hospital and had to have a blood transfusion among other things. She didn't want to be touched (or had not been often); she was sad, and so very sick. We have worked hard to clear up her skin and get her blood counts where they need to be. She has rebounded so well and it took some time, but now she loves to be scratched and rubbed on. She has the sweetest happy face and her eyes sparkle now
I know it will take a very special person to take Lady into their lives, but I know her person is out there. Please contact us if you are interested in Lady or if you have any questions. She knows sit and to give paw If you think Lady might be a good fit for your family please fill out an application at
