My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella and Paco are a bonded pair of senior Chihuahua-mixes surrendered to RTPA by their owner who could no longer take care of them. These two cuties have very different personalities, but they are never without each other. Bella, the tan 11+ yrs. old female, is a very social and happy girl. She is also crate-trained and housebroken, but when she is loose in the house, she does need to be able to go outside every hour to pee. Paco, the black and white 12+ yrs. old male, is a little shy, but very sweet. He is crate-trained and housebroken, but needs to wear a belly-band when he is loose in the house because he has some incontinency and sometimes will mark. Both dogs have heart murmurs and enlarged hearts, and both are on 2 different heart medications for life, at a total cost of about $55 a month. They are both active and fun little dogs. Paco loves to snuggle with his person, but he also likes to spend time in their crate, while Bella’s favorite thing to do is play fetch with her best-loved stuffed toy. Both dogs LOVE to go for walks and they ride very well in the car. They lived in a house with 4 cats prior to being surrendered to RTPA. A quiet home without children or another dog would be ideal, with someone who is home a good part of the day. They are in their golden years and should be the center of attention. It may seem like these two have a lot going on that might make anyone hesitate to adopt them, but their foster mom says they make her laugh every day and are a joy to have around!
