Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We were contacted about Miss Galaxy, literally, while she was in the process of giving birth to eight little puppies (who we are calling her Guardians)!! We were told the owner was going to kill the puppies, but his co-worker stepped in and convinced him to surrender the family to rescue. When the family arrived, they were covered in thousands (again literally!!) of ticks. Not just momma, but the day old puppies as well!! Momma was in pretty bad shape, in addition to the ticks, she tested positive for Ehrlichosis, has a vaginal infection and a torn eyelid. Under the care of veterinarians, they are all doing quite well.
This stunning girl is about 2 years old. Not only is she beautiful, but her personality is beautiful as well. She is gentle, loving, mild-mannered and just starting to learn that life can be good. She is eager to please and a mild correction is all she needs. She was very thin when she arrived and understandably, she was grabby with a treat. But she quickly learned to gently take a treat in just one training session, so she is easily trainable. She has been an absolute delightful house guest at her foster home.
Let’s talk about what her new home would look like. She will need a loving family as she thrives on affection. A fenced yard is preferable and she LOVES people. We were told she is good with other dogs, but currently, she is being very protective of her new little ones and is conflicted with her desire to play with the resident dogs. It is apparent she has never had toys and is quite unsure what to do with them. Hopefully, her little Guardians will help her in that department. The family that gets this gem will be very lucky indeed!!
She is up-to-date on vetting, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention. She will be spayed before adoption. She is learning that a crate is a good place to sleep at night and does well on a leash.
