Here's what the humans have to say about me:
YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO SET UP A TIME TO MEET OUR PETS.
Benny is a 1 year old, 17 pound who looks a bit like a red fox. He came from a home with lots of other dogs. He gets along fine with other dogs and is friendly, just can be a bit of an enthusiastic sniffer of new dogs.
He was a shy little guy when he first came to us since the dogs from that home did not have much of a social life. However, he has really come to enjoy being with us and loves people and being touched, even if he still feels a bit bashful at times.
He bonds quickly and likes to be near his people. He is not used to fancy stuff like laps yet, but he is enjoying learning all about the luxuries of being a pampered pet and he is certainly understanding the joys of cuddling.
We have been working with him on leash training and he is doing great and is comfortable now. He adores sniffing new territory and exploring. Maybe he has a smidgen of Beagle in his genetics!
Benny keeps his room perfectly clean, no accidents, and has not been interested in marking inside, what a good boy! He will need to acclimate to his new home and potty schedule, but it should not be difficult to train him, especially if you use a crate when you are away.
While Benny is turning into a very affectionate and friendly boy, he will probably still prefer a relatively mellow new family versus one with screaming, energetic kids. However, he should be fine with anyone of any age who is gentle with this sensitive pup as he gains experience out in the world.
He should be perfectly fine as an only dog but could also be a companion to your current dog, as long as your pup does not mind a bit of an initial sniff fest!
Adoption donation $150.
