Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chica found herself as a stray at Chicago Animal Care and Control. She was pretty underweight and sick at the time. She has since recovered nicely and tends to tip the scales instead!!! She is totally treat and food motivated which will help in working with her. She is timid and take a while to warm up. She needs a guardian who will work with her to earn her trust and dissolve her uncertainty and fear she may have experienced in the past. She would love to be your Velcro dog but will stay in her place if that is your preference. Chica can be a bit of a hoarder whether it is food or toys so some of the other dogs don't appreciate her habits. She does like the company of other dogs and loves to have another passive dog to snuggle into bed with. Chica is a nice dog and pretty quiet on the whole. She will do well with someone who can work on portion control with her since she seems to have no concept of what that means for high valued foods.

Chica is fully vetted. She has been spayed, had a recent dental, vaccinated, heart worm negative and microchipped. If you are interested in Chica please contact us. We are a foster based in home rescue. We are all volunteers with full time jobs. We will try to get back to you within 48 hours. Please be patient with us. We do not adopt of state. We prefer adopters to be within the immediate Chicago area. We do require a complete and approved adoption application, before we can set up a home visit and meet and greet.
