Hey! Ain’t I just the cutest! Now that I have your attention, please keep reading. The story below is what my people mom had to say about me.
I adopted Chester as an adult cat at Petsmart about 2 years ago. He is neutered and his shots are up to date. I also adopted his brother, Chucky. They are strongly bonded and I hope they can continue to live together. Chester and Chucky have similar habits but their personalities are quite different.
Chester is an awesome cat. He absolutely LOVES to curl up on your lap. But before he does, he LOVES to Knead on your stomach, sometimes for a long time (I think it is so cute). He is very loving and loves to cuddle. He’s an avid explorer, too. Sometimes he likes to sleep in a closet, or a cupboard, or a drawer if it is left open. He still likes to play with his toy mice. Chester sleeps on my pillow with me, or sometimes by my feet. When he sleeps, sometimes he likes to cover his face, or sleep with his face pushed against a chair.
Chester is an inside cat but loves to lie on the balcony in the sun, not the rain of course. He once tried to go exploring outdoors. It took us 2 days to get him back, and he was so scared. He jumped from the second floor. I had to put chicken wire around the bottom of the railings. He also loves to sit on windowsills, and watch for other cats and birds. I leave a blind up a little so he can watch in the night, too.
He is kind of shy if there are children around, but he is fine as long as they are gentle. He doesn't really like to be picked up and held, he likes to come to you.
Every morning when I get up, he wants his treats. I give him 5 Whiskas Temptation Dentabites, and 5 Whiskas Temptations any other flavour. He also gets the same things at night around 10 pm. He will start running to the kitchen or come and let you know what time it is and he is usually right within 1/2 an hour.
He uses the litterbox, and is very clean.
He doesn't drink water from a bowl - he will only drink out of the toilet, so I always make sure the lid is up and the seat is down, and of course I make sure it is clean.
Chester loves to be combed. I have a little rake that is for cats and it gets right to the undercoat. But he likes to walk around while I do it, and he will flop on his back to get his tummy done. I cut his front paw nails. I have to hold him to do it. He isn't crazy about it but he will let you.
I will really miss him, but if you do adopt him, I know you will love him as much as I do. You will not be disappointed!
