I'd like to introduce you to Roxy, my sweet little lab mix. Roxy came to us from the Yuma Humane Society. We aren't sure why she was turned in by her owner, but it's obvious that she was loved and cared for. She's as sweet as can be, and who can resist those soulful brown eyes and that stubby tail??
We think Roxie is about 5 years old. She has pearly white teeth to go along with her jet black coat. She's house trained and completely trustworthy. She's smaller than a typical lab and stockier, and that little labbie face is a heart-melter. She sleeps at the foot of your bed on her own bed, and never moves a muscle all night. She walks well on a leash and knows basic commands. She lives for belly rubs and is eager for love and attention.
Roxy gets along well with other dogs, but she is an alpha female. Slow introductions are best until she gets acquainted. She would do best in a home as an only dog or with other dogs who are non-reactive or submissive. She LOVES to be loved, and sometimes pushes her way to the front of the line while we're petting other dogs. She's not aggressive, but with that low center of gravity and that muscular body, nothing is going to stand in her way to be first for pets and scratches!
Please contact your home visit volunteer if you'd like to meet Roxy.
