Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This little Dude was picked up by animal control for romancing an in heat female dog. Apparently, Boone has been out partying for a while. He has a few cuts and bruises on him, and he’s worn slap out. This compact little fella was picked up with 4 other amorous guys who were tom cattin’ with him. Unfortunately, their playboy ways landed them all in “jail.” Now Boone needs to be sprung. Can you come up with his bail and help him to live a clean, reformed life? I’m sure he’ll become a harmless, loving, homebody after “The Surgery”……...
We believe Boone to be 2 or 3 years old and weighs in at about 40 lbs. He is also leash trained. He has the compact body of a Bassett Hound with the coloring and features of a Lab. Boone is not fearful here at the shelter. He’s just glad of any attention he is given.
The animals at the shelter have five days to find a home. The Humane Society of Cherokee County, Inc., is the rescue and adoption agent for this shelter. We are trying to save as many animals as possible from this shelter by adoption. The $75 adoption fee includes all rabies, DHPP and bordatella vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, and heartworm test.
For a quick response and/or adoption appointment, email us at cherokeeshelter@gmail.com. The Cherokee County shelter is located in Gaffney, SC just a few minutes off I-85 and only about 20 miles northeast of Spartanburg, SC and about 50 miles southwest of Charlotte, NC.
We are very rescue-friendly and will work with reputable rescuers to get these animals to safety. Thank you for helping us to save the life of a homeless, unwanted, and soon to be killed, shelter animal!
