Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Xena, our 5-6 month shepherd mix. She will always greet you with a smile on her face and a wag of her tail.
She weighs 50 lbs now and will grow to be a medium to large dog. Loves everyone she meets. She is very friendly. GREAT off leash, she will stay right with you will hiking or camping. Would love to go for runs / walks with her person.
She currently is fostered on a 15 acre horse farm and loves to run and play. Completely trustworthy, she never wanders off and will always stay close.
If you are interested in giving Xena a wonderful home, go to our Facebook page and download the application from the "Notes" section. While you are there, please "Like" our page to see our new available dogs and keep up with upcoming events.

You can also email us at merceranimalrescue@gmail.com and we will email an application to you.
Xena's adoption donation is $525 which helps to cover the spaying, shots, bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, vet examination, flea/tick prevention, heart worm prevention and includes cost of transport.
ALL OUR DOGS BEGIN THEIR JOURNEY IN TENNESSEE
Xena lives with a foster home in Tennessee. She will travel to her new family once she has been adopted. We use a weekly transport to the east coast where the dogs can be picked up in VA, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, VT.
Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.
