My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nicholas Nickleby was rescued from a rural shelter after his stray hold expired. We don’t know why no one reclaimed Nickie because he’s a great little dog. He’s devoted to his people, friendly with everyone he meets, and an all around phenomenal companion.

We DNA tested Nickie and found that he is a miniature poodle/cocker spaniel/shih tzu mix with a touch of pekingnese in the stew. A blend of very nice breeds should make him a healthier, smarter dog for sure.

Nickie is 3-4 years old and weighs 9 to 10 pounds. His jet black coat has a very relaxed curl to it.

“Nickie” likes toys, especially squeakers. He likes men, women and children. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home. No idea about cats. He bonded quickly with his foster mom, which means he should bond easily with a new owner. He is lovingly affectionate, a perfect loyal companion. He walks very well on a harnessed leash with an easy gait and no pulling. Nickie is an excellent passenger in the car. He sleeps through the night on his foster mom’s bed and is eager to start a new day each morning. He is neutered, well wormed, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm/flea preventive, is microchipped and has had a dental cleaning. His adoption fee is $275.
