Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Canelo is an 11 month old pure male Doberman. He looks as though he was going to be a show dog. He had a good life, however, his owner lost his home and had to surrender him. Hope for Paws took him in and covered his medical (neuter/shots). Canelo came to SDA for Obedience and manners training as assessing with other dogs. He's an energetic boy and very sweet. He is extremely athletic and loves to run and hike. He's also extremely brilliant and easily trained. We have had him with several dogs and when introduced calmly, he then does well playing one-on-one with them. We have not taken him to a dog park situation as we don't condone that anyhow. He is also very cleanly, not destructive at all, and able to entertain himself without any separation anxiety. He LOVES ALL people, but Canelo is a large boy at 70 lbs so he may be too much for small children, toy breeds or cats - though he shows zero aggression towards these. He can also jump pretty high, so it's a must that you have high fencing of at least 6' tall. He hasn't shown that he climbs fencing, so chain link is fine.
