My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goliath is the newest pit pup at Bark Ark. This is his story, as written by Todd, the world's greatest ACO in Bolingbrook Illinois.

"This is Goliath. Goliath was brought in to the pound as a stray. They guy said he "found" him. Once we separated Goliath from the guy, we KNEW the real story! Goliath SCREAMED AND CRIED like a Little baby would being pulled away from its mother!! The sight broke my heart. If looks could kill, I tell you what.... Poor Goliath was OBVIOUSLY raised by this guy, and is so distraught, it took me over an hour to calm him. Goliath IS A BIG BABY!! He is about 10 month old. I am guessing that he is about 80 pounds but, he is all lap dog. He kind of reminds me of the MARMADUKE comic strip. Goliath has shown no aggression to any dogs at the pound, and was afraid of the cats. ALL GOLIATH WANTS IS TO BE LOVED AND HELD!!!

If you can find it in your heart, and don't mind having an 80 pound lap dog, GOLIATH IS FOR YOU!!! Such a wonderful dog, and this guy lied and dumped him not even caring what his fate may be."

After closer examination, we believe Goliath to be mostly, if not purebred, Dogue De Bordeaux ( think Turner and Hooch.) He is very big and going to get bigger.

Goliath was lucky that he ended up at Todd's shelter. He will be even luckier when he finds his forever home.
